Uscie Gorlickie is a tourist-spa district with high natural, healthy and cultural values. It is situated in the western part of Beskid Niski.
The district's area is characterized by wild forests (60%), mountanious relief with extensive meadows and pastures, scenic gorges of rivers and streams. Mountain ranges are covered by natural forests which consist predominantly of fir and beech. The nature is clean and natural. There are unique kinds of plants and animals.There are:Rosalia alpine, black stork, lesser spotted eagle, eagle owl, owls, falcons- predominantly kestrels, beaver, otter, brown bear sometimes appeares from Slovak forests.Big predator family is represented here by protected species of wolves and lynxes, smaller mammals here-badger, pine marten, weasel, foul marten, hedgehog, rarely ermine.The world of reptiles and amphibians is also rich. There are:adder, grass snake, smooth snake, blindworm, salamander, newt, fire-bellied toad, lizard.
